Equitable Climate Futures

Equitable Climate Futures

Equitable Climate Futures is an initiative that will build Brown’s capacity for climate research, with a strong focus on under-resourced and historically marginalized groups.

About the Program

By leveraging strengths in interdisciplinary research and practice, and its enduring partnerships with NGOs, policymakers, and the private sector, Brown has a unique opportunity to advance equitable climate solutions — and envision future climates and their impacts on communities — across local, regional, national, and international scales.

Working Groups

ECF will fund working groups to advance research agendas. Working groups will be composed of scholars from across Brown as well as community partners and will be supported by a cross-campus cohort of ECF-funded postdoctoral scholars and undergraduate research assistants.

Annual Conference

ECF will host an annual conference that will cultivate local, regional, and national networks in support of Brown’s emerging ECF-related research agendas.

Course Curation

ECF aims to enable the collection and curation of courses focused on climate drivers, impacts, and solutions across campus.
